Curry Popcorn

One thing I love is Popcorn.  I can barely watch a movie without it.  Even better are those boutique gourmet popcorn shops where you can buy popcorn in almost any flavor imaginable, but at a fairly high cost.  Making flavored popcorn at home is easy and you can make all the great flavors you love.

This recipe is both a little spicy and a little sweet with a nice curry flavor so overall it lends to a savory flavor.

Ingredients:

2 TBSP Coconut oil

1/2 Cup Popcorn kernels

1/4 Cup Butter

2 TBSP brown sugar

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp ground corriander

1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

dash of Cayenne Pepper

dash of salt to taste

1.  Pop the kernels in coconut oil in a deep pan over the stove.  Set aside to cool.

2. In a saucepan combine the butter, sugar and sauces and stir over medium heat until it begins to boil.  Remove from heat and let cool for a couple of minutes.

3.  Toss the popcorn in a large bowl while drizzling the flavor, mixing as you go along.

Serve!  Season with salt.
